This Program is for those stallion owners that want a small breeding stallion insurance policy (Limited Amount of Stored Frozen Semen) in the event that a stallion is no longer available due to illness, death or sale.
The average stallion will produce about 8 to12 breeding dose units of frozen semen per ejaculate. Combining the total of 2 collections should yield about 16 to 24 breeding units of frozen semen. For a small breeder, this “ Stallion Safety Net” semen bank could be a breeding business life saver; should stallion looses breeding soundness, expire or be sold.
Frozen Semen can be stored for many years when stored in liquid nitrogen, possibly indefinitely.
The Stallion Preserve 2 includes:
- Freezing 2 ejaculates or 2 containers received Fed Ex, of cooled shipped semen.
- Semen extender used by EqCS as our most recommended Cryogenic Extender.
- Semen Straws, Cryo Labeled - .5 ml straws grouped 5 straws in each goblet, 2 per cane, labeled id.
- Test Thaw of “one” .5 ml straw for motility. No other testing will be done on limited semen.
- One month of storage in an EqCS liquid nitrogen tank. See storage fees after one month.
- No guarantee as to the number of straws filled for semen received.

This Program is for those stallion owners that want a small, yet larger, breeding insurance policy (Limited Amount of Stored Frozen Semen) in the event that a stallion is no longer available due to illness, death or sale. The average stallion will produce about 8 to12 breeding dose units of frozen semen per ejaculate. Combining the total of 4 collections should yield about 32 to 50 breeding units of frozen semen.
